Good place with free parking, comfortable rooms, and strong wi-fi. I fondly remember how the staff helped my old parents during our first visit. Plus, the cheerful welcome sets a great tone. Highly recommended!

Hotel was clean, and staff friendly. Breakfast was fast and well cooked. Bed was comfy and room was spacious.
The restaurant was very small - 7 or 8 tables in a small room. When people got up to get a drink or leave after their meal, they constantly banged into you while you were eating. It wasn't clear whether the restaurant was open in the evenings - the guest information suggested it was, but it appeared closed when we investigated. Thankfully the hotel was close to town for alternatives. The hotel was noisy, with doors being slammed every now and then (the toilet door was easy to slam due to the rocker door latch used), and loud music coming from somewhere outside (some pub somewhere?). Both seemed to stop in the late evening though.

A very clean and modern hotel. The rooms were comfortable and tastefully decorated. The staff were friendly and helpful. A 25 minute walk into town but don't let that put you off as it is very pleasant. You can also take the ferry for £1 which gives you the opportunity to view the lovely houses overlooking the river.

The hotel was decorated very well and one of the only hotels close by with free parking and free wifi. This is something they should try to keep a hold of. The room was large and the bathroom was fab! Should advertise more about the food being local produce.
You can tell the hotel is new as the staff are still learning but its a family business and I hope people will give them credit that they need to learn from their mistakes. Also the walls are very thin. I could hear the other people snoring in the other room, I was stopping in room 15 if that makes a difference?

ideal base for discovering parks and landmarks with ease
The staff were really friendly, and I loved that it was just a pleasant stroll to St Peters Church, about 1.5 km away, which I found so charming. There's a good Indian restaurant less than a 5-minute walk that had a terrific curry.

30 minutes walk or 5 - 10 minutes taxi ride from town centre, theatre and shops. Interesting to see a different part of town. Had it not been for a trip to the theatre would have enjoyed sampling the hotel cuisine. Food and drink also available within two minutes of the hotel. Staff were good and helpful. Would reccommend hotel to others and would stay there again.
